This is a typical bar with a teraza in Plaza Nueva. This place is probably not the best place to have tapas in Granada. The restaurant has to pay a lot to have the tables on the street and some of the bars are franchises where the owner does not understand the concept of free tapas in Granada. If you want to make sure there are tapas at a bar you should ask ¿hay tapas gratis aquí? (Are there free tapas here?) It is not rude to ask.
Plaza Nueva is one of the busiest places in Granada and this place would be perfect for people watching. Everyone passes through Plaza Nueva 24 hours a day. There is a taxi rank with a queue of taxis waiting to whisk you off to anywhere. All the circular Albaicin buses stop opposite Plaza Nueva. There is a big opena air space outside the law courts just past the fountain where there is a lot of open air busking and street performances.&
