There is a bronze sculpture of Isabel la Católica and Christopher Columbus , it is the work of the sculptor Mariano Benlliure. It was made in Rome in 1892 and represents the Spanish queen listening to the proposals of the Christopher Columbus for an exploratory sea voyage which would eventually lead to the discovery of America.
