Almuñecar Jazz Festival

The Almuñecar Jazz festival is held every year in the majuelo park in the centre of Almuñecar. It normally lasts several days and attracts internationally famous jazz musicians for example Paquito D`Rivera, Danilo Pérez, Rosa Passos, Branford Marsalis, Tete Montoliú, Kenny Barron, Joe Zawinul, Dave Holland, Chano Domínguez, Gregory Porter, Joshua Redman, Charles Lloyd, Chucho Valdés and many others. It is held in the open air. It is normaly quite hot at this time of year in Almuñecar. It is a pleasant location to see Jazz. The seagulls float in the night air far above the stage.
