Silent Night procession in Granada

If you want to see this scene you will have to stay awake until about 3.45 on the Thursday night or Friday morning. This is when it passes by the river darro and under the Alhambra. The procession is the Cristo de la Misericordia. It is a silent procession. The streetlights are switched off an the only light is provided by candles. The only sound is the beating of a drum. The is probably the most atmospheric of all the processions in Granada.
