I went on a cruise and was talking to one of the crew members from Indonesia. They usually aren't allowed to get off the boat in port because they don't have visas or papers. They spend months a time onboard and work 6-7 days a week. Many make far less than minimum wage. He told me there is a sliding scale for pay that depends on where you are from. He said he was working on the ship to send money to his family. But, he missed his wife and children. It gave me a different perspective of the happy-looking crew member on these mega cruise ships. It seemed like it would be cool job: travel the world, go to fun destinations, and wait on people who are on vacation. But, the impression that I got is that they're basically indentured servants for 4-5 months at a time. They do get paid. But, they earn every penny of it.?

Don't get me wrong, the game can still be fun, raiding especially. But you have to wonder what was going on when they decided putting four separate raid lockouts on a single room with five bosses was a good idea to keep players interested.In the wild everyone just does it, grabs the loot, and heads back to Ulduar for the rest of the week or jumps on an alt for Naxx.
